“You can. You should. And if you’re brave enough to start, you will.

-Stephen King

This month we are publishing a favorite, build a house activity! This activity is perfect for children with big dreams and curious minds in building structures and designs. We’ve seen some incredible designs from our Future Maker followers. And parents have expressed seeing a transformation that blends from learning with play, and turning simple straws into towering structures and architectural masterpieces.

The mission at MAKE is to educate, inspire, and equip the next generation to win in manufacturing. We have three pillars that focus on just that; Read, Build, Experience. Our team is honored to have your family part of the MAKE Community. Join our newsletter Future Makers and follow us along on this journey as we continue to showcase how awesome manufacturing is!

Read

Blake Explores Manufacturing, published by MAKE Publishing helping simplify and define the meaning of manufacturing and the significant impact it has within a day and life of a child.

Build

It is time to build a house. Please join us in this month’s manufacturing activity; through using common household items like pipe cleaners and straws. Join our newsletter Future Makers for the building activity and be sure to read our Parents + Educators page for helpful hints to guide your children through this activity.

Experience

Manufacturing is best learned through hands-on experiences. Located in Bloomington, MN The Works Museum provides an incredible experience for kids of all ages. They make engineering fun with hands-on activities, real tools, and everyday materials. See this Future Maker, Lucas, hard at work!
