Welcome to the January 2024 Future Maker activity by MAKE Publishing! Our mission is to educate, inspire, and equip the next generation to win in manufacturing. The purpose of this activity is to get children involved in manufacturing early - enjoy!
This month’s Future Maker building activity is about creating a marble maze with Legos. Building the maze is more than just a fun activity; it’s a chance to create innovative and lasting memories with your children. The encouragement to build is incredible; gather your materials and dive into the world of building!
While building the marble maze is a fantastic way to spend more quality time with your children it also:
Fosters Creativity: Designing a marble maze encourages children to think outside the box and come up with innovative paths and obstacles to navigate with their marble.
Enhances Problem-Solving Skills: As your child plans and tests their maze(s), they are leaning to troubleshoot and refine their concepts and ideas. This instills a mindset of continuous improvement and further developing an idea.
Encourages Collaboration: Working with your child on a shared goal/activity strengthens the family bond and teaches teamwork dynamic of listening and engaging to others ideas and suggestions.
Educational Fun: This activity incorporates principles of physics and engineering in a fun and playful environment and goal.
